Join us on May 22 to celebrate America 250—a nationwide lead-up to the U.S. 250th anniversary focused on community and civic engagement. Come hang out, show Maverick pride, and connect with the community!
We’ll help unfurl one of the world’s largest American flags at Memorial Park!
📅 Date: Friday, May 22, 2026
📍Meet: 5:30 PM at UNO Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (first floor lounge)
🚶 Walk together as a group to Memorial Park
🕕 Flag unfurling: 6 PM
🎶 Festivities: 6–9 PM (live music + food for purchase)
Participants are welcome to stay as long as they like after the flag unfurling.
