In this Brown Bag talk, Dr. Djuraeva will present the collaborative service-learning project that she developed with a high school ESL teacher during the service learning seminar in the summer of 2022. She will discuss the lessons learned for the past 3 years and share tips for developing and sustaining a long-term collaboration with a community partner. The central focus of this brown bag will be on the ways to synergize research, teaching, and service for faculty and graduate students in the humanities and social sciences. Specifically, she will exemplify methodological underpinnings for creating such synergy.
