On Wednesday, November 12^th at 8:00 pm, Michael Abboud will be giving his senior saxophone recital in the Recital Hall at the Strauss Performing Arts Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Dodge campus. Michael will be performing works by J. S. Bach, Lawson Lunde, Jean-Baptiste Singelee, Caryl Florio, and a work by Paul Simon arranged by Michael. Dr. Bryan Stanley will appear as a collaborative pianist as well as the UNO Maverick Saxophone Quartet. The performance will be live-streamed on the UNO School of Music YouTube channel.

Michael Abboud (Saxophone, Music Education) is a student of Dr. Matthew Storie. During his time at UNO, Michael has been a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Band, Jazz One, Jazz Too, Jeremy Baguyos Combo, Maverick Saxophone Quartet, and the Saxophone Ensemble. He is also an active member of the UNO Maverick Machine and is a part of the Tuba Parade seen at hockey games. Michael has participated in several off-campus events, such as Sound Health and several performances at Gallery 1516. He has arranged and performed several pieces for various ensembles. After graduation, Michael plans to teach high school music.
