Griffin Schleimer will perform a senior trumpet recital with collaborative pianist, Stacie Haneline. The recital will be held on Wednesday, April 9th, at 6:00 at the Strauss Performing Arts Center on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. Mr. Schleimer will perform works by Taylor, Broughton, & Ewazen. The performance will be live streamed on the School of Music YouTube channel.

Griffin Schleimer is a trumpet student of Professor Jason Johnson majoring in music education. Schleimer also studied under Dr. Darryl White at the University of Nebraska Lincoln School of Music. He was recognized on the Dean’s list three semesters and is currently a member of NAfME.

Schleimer has been involved in several ensembles while attending the universities and is also the president for a student organization known as the Navigators. Ensembles include the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz II, and University Band. Schleimer performed with the Omaha Symphony for the Concerts for Youth Performances in March of this year. He has also performed live with the Downtown Collective Band for the last 2 years, plays at his church on occasion, and has been contracted to play musicals.
