About the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature

The Foreign Language and Literature faculty at the University of Omaha at Nebraska engage in research, teaching and service relating to the fields of linguistics, literature, and cultural studies. Through a wide range of teaching practices and topics, which include Study Abroad, Service Learning, and Internships, our Foreign Language programs prepare students to be globally engaged and cross-culturally aware citizens. Proficiency in foreign languages and world cultures are crucial assets in a world that is increasingly interdependent and interconnected by global media and markets. Multilingual and interculturally sensitive graduates are better prepared to participate and succeed in the global marketplace. Make a contribution to support the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at UNO.
