The Silent Book Club of Omaha (SBCO) is back at Criss Library to celebrate Banned Books Week (Oct 5 - Oct 11) on Sunday, October 5th, from 2-4pm! Come to the library to read with fellow book lovers from all over Omaha. It’s the best book club: there are no assigned readings – you just read what you bring!

Here’s how it works:

• First 30 minutes: Socialize, meet new people, find a spot, and get comfortable. Bring your own snacks and drinks!
• 1 hour of silent reading
• Final 30 minutes: Announcements, more socializing and book talking, and goodbyes.

It’s free and there’s plenty of space at the library. If you are bringing kids, they need to be able to sit and read silently for the hour, and must have an adult with them at all times.
