Artificial intelligence is rapidly shaping industries, research, and creative work across disciplines. As UNO students, understanding this technology, its capabilities, and its limitations is increasingly important.

NextGen Studio is a university-led applied innovation experience designed to help students explore AI thoughtfully and responsibly.

This is not about replacing learning with automation. It is about understanding how these systems work, how they impact society, and how to build with them ethically.

Students from all majors are welcome. No prior AI or coding experience is required. Your curiosity and willingness to build are required.

Inside the studio, Mavericks:

• Develop foundational AI literacy
• Explore real-world use cases across disciplines
• Discuss ethical and societal considerations
• Build guided AI-powered prototypes
• Apply entrepreneurial thinking to real problems
• Present their work in a structured, academic environment

The goal is not hype. It is preparedness.

AI will continue to influence business, healthcare, communication, research, and public policy. Engaging with it critically rather than avoiding it equips us to make informed decisions in our careers and communities.
