Celebrate Juneteenth with the UNO Department of Black Studies and the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Inclusion (SLII)!. Juneteenth is an important milestone in the African-American community, as it represents the emancipation of African Americans enslaved in the United States.
Walk in the Parade on June 15
Sign up to walk in the parade on June 15 — line up at 9 A.M. and the parade starts at 10 A.M. Don’t miss your chance to play a major role in one of Omaha's largest celebrations! For participating in the parade, you'll receive a free t-shirt! You can indicate your size on the registration form above, or request a shirt by contacting UNO Black Studies at 402.554.2412 or janetashley@unomaha.edu.
