Looking to make prototypes, toys, costume elements, or new products? Join the UNO Criss Library Creative Production Lab team to learn the basics of 3D modeling for 3D printing. Students, staff, and faculty are invited for a hands-on walkthrough covering the principles of design for 3D printing by building a 3D model with the tools of Tinkercad online. Learn how to make your own objects, and discuss with instructors and participants how 3D printing can operate in your class or personal portfolio.

No experience is necessary to succeed in this workshop. The tools and workflow we'll cover are applicable to any major or project that participants may want to create.

Each session is a standalone workshop, and there is no need to attend each one to get the full experience. Participants are welcome and encouraged to stop by multiple sessions for additional guidance, assistance, or are just hoping to build something unique to test their new skills.

At the end of each workshop participants will be guided in submitting their personalized project to the Creative Production Lab for FREE 3D printing of the objects created during the workshop. Materials for these sessions are provided free to all participants by a University Committee for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT) Mini-Grant and the UNO Center for Faculty Excellence.
