About this Event
6400 South, University Drive Road North, Omaha, NE 68182
A new exhibition features the works of Iggy Sumnik. He is a gifted ceramic and multi-media artist, prolific in vision and product, who used his love of people, art, and the creative process to impact his community. The exhibition features hands-on activities for all ages and abilities, illustrating the impact of artists like Iggy in inspiring others to discover their skills and unique ability to bring even the most remarkable visions to life.
One-of-a-kind pieces from Iggy’s personal archives will be displayed in support of WhyArts, an organization where Iggy connected to the Omaha community as a teaching artist. His work in Omaha began in 2005; he returned to his home in Detroit in 2014 and continued as a studio and teaching artist until his premature passing in 2023.
