About this Event
6323 Mavrick Plaza
Presented by UNO Campus Recreation and Wellness as part of its ongoing effort to inform, educate, and empower the campus community to adapt a healthier lifestyle.
Over 700 students, faculty, staff members, and alumni from the UNO community attend this event each year. This event will feature around 70 vendors, free screenings, door prizes and free giveaways, free chair massages, and the annual Wellness Blood Screening. Due to required fasting, the deadline to sign up for the screening is Nov. 6.
We are also looking for volunteers to help our during the event. To volunteer you can reach out to Zach McGee at zmcgee@unomaha.edu.
UNO is committed to maintaining a welcoming and accessible environment across all of its campuses and has developed information for the public and visitors. Visitors can contact and learn more about campus accessibility through the following links:

The score card idea was nice, but very confusing on who could mark off what and if you only had a limited amount of time you couldn't really participate. This was especially true for vendors that wanted to do their talk before marking your card. The event also didn't really start on time so the first one's there missed out on things. An event like this should be ready to go at least 15 minutes before the start time - meaning you need vendors there earlier and your tables and staff in place. I also recommend you consider the the timing and length of the event. We have a large nontraditional student population and staff that do not work a 9-5 shift. Students that work and go to school cannot make this type of event. Staff that work evenings have to come in two or more hours before their shift to participate (or in the middle of their sleep time if they work over night). UNO continues to act like everyone on campus is here from 9-5. This is a major lack of respect to our staff and to our students.
