Data literacy is a necessity for all students, regardless of their major. It isn’t about specific tools but transferable, practical, skills that enhance the student’s understanding of the world and enhance their productivity at work. As UNO implements its new, campus-wide data literacy requirements, the challenge is ensuring this essential skill is woven into our curriculum effectively.

💡 Mahmoud Harding is here to help!

Mahmoud Harding of Data Science 4 Everyone (University of Chicago) will be offering a session that addresses both the 'why' and the practical 'how.' This session will cover topics such as:

  • How can data literacy be reinforced in a wide variety of disciplines
  • How can data literacy enhance your core learning objectives (not take away from them)
  • How can we teach our students to use Generative AI in a responsible way that enhances their learning
  • How can we make data literacy a comparative advantage for our students and our campus
