About the Show

The Sun, Our Living Star takes you on a breathtaking journey into the heart of the star that makes life on Earth possible. Our Sun has been shining for about 4½ billion years, and the light that warms our skin today has touched every person who has ever lived. As the closest star to Earth, it is the engine that powers our winds, weather, and every living thing. The Sun may be a fairly ordinary dwarf star, but it releases enormous energy each second and dominates our solar system with its mass and heat.

In this immersive planetarium experience, you’ll explore the secrets of our living star through stunning fulldome visuals, including dynamic images of the Sun’s surface and atmosphere. Discover how its energy shapes our world, how ancient cultures tracked its motion across the sky, and how modern science continues to uncover its fiery mysteries. This show blends science and wonder to celebrate the Sun as both a cosmic powerhouse and an essential part of our everyday lives.
