Interested in speaking at Commencement?
Are you planning to graduate in May? If so, we invite you to audition to become a student speaker for our May Commencement!
The Commencement Student Speaker Selection Committee has established the following preferred qualifications for our student speaker(s):
- Eligible graduates, including Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees, participating in the May 2023 ceremonies are encouraged to audition.
- The speaker must be eligible for May or August 2023 graduation with minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
- The speaker must be comfortable speaking in front of a large audience.
Sign Up to Audition By March 30
Auditions will be held in-person on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31.
The selected student speaker(s) will be asked to make an appointment with the UNO Speech Center to finalize their speech.
