Since we first presented Cinemateca, in 2008, OLLAS and Film Streams have had the privilege of showcasing more than 40 films from 12 different countries, including classics, new releases, and half a dozen children’s films. We’re dedicating our eighth biennial celebration of Latino, Latin American, and Spanish cinema to the commemoration of the 50th Year Anniversaries of the military coups in Uruguay and Chile.

All Thursday screenings will begin with a 6:00pm reception with pre-film appetizers, followed by the film screening at 6:30pm, and closing with a post-show charla (“discussion”) led by OLLAS faculty. The series launches September 14 with Marighella, a brazilian drama. Followed by Chile '76 (September 21) and Argentina 1985 (September 28).
