About National Suicide Prevention Month
September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Join UNO's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in helping to raise awareness about prevention and resources.
CAPS Services are available to ALL enrolled (in person or online) UNO students. Please call 402.554.2409 or visit Health and Kinesiology Building (H&K) room 101 to schedule an appointment or to learn more about our services. Appointments are available on both Dodge and Scott campuses.
If you are having thoughts of suicide, please call 402.554.2409 (and press 2 after-hours), call or text the national 988 number, or call 1.800.273.8255. You may also text the word "START" to 741.741.
If it is a mental health crisis or emergency, please call 911.

H&K Lobby
During Suicide Prevention Month, visit the H&K lobby to engage in mental health support by answering weekly questions on sticky notes and reading others' responses at our mutual aid station.
