Dr. Armando De Alba Rosales, MD, PhD, MPH, shares his inspiring journey as a Mexican immigrant who continued his education in the United States to become a clinician, educator, and researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Drawing from his personal and professional experiences, Dr. De Alba will reflect on the transformative power of education to bridge cultures, foster meaningful connections, and empower individuals to contribute to their global community to protect their health. Inspired by the legacy of former UNO Professor and international educator Dr. Chuck Gildersleeve, this talk celebrates the role of curiosity, education, and collaboration in shaping a more compassionate and interconnected world.
