College of Public Affairs and Community Service
The Jail Executive Institute (JEI) is specifically focused to educate, train and mentor administrators working in jail environments complicated by ongoing issues related to overcrowding, hiring and retention of officers, officer wellness, safety, security, outdated technology, and mental health challenges among the inmate population. The fourth annual JEI class is scheduled to meet Sept. 15-20, 2024.
